Trena is the Director of Clinical Operations and Co-Owner of The Caring Tree.  She has over 25 years of experience working with children and families in the field of education and counseling.  She is very excited to offer a counseling program whose sole purpose is to serve children and their families.  Trena specializes in trauma care, mood disorders, and mental health assessment.

 “K-C” strongly believes in the healing and therapeutic benefits of alternative approaches to therapy. As an art therapist she strives to adapt to the specific needs of her clients. She works from a person-centered approach, meeting each individual where they are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She works alongside each individual andaids them in reaching their therapeutic goals. As an artist and art therapist, she views each client encounter as its’ own collaborative art piece, working together until the piece is complete.

 Lynda’s goal is to assist youth with overcoming personal obstacles to help them to reach their fullest potential. She likes to work with youth because she feels they are our community’s greatest asset!  Lynda specializes in adolescent therapies through mentoring, 1:1, art, play, and aroma therapies to assist with: Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, and supporting families.

 Taylor is the Clinical Assistant and Mental Health Therapist who primarily treats clients from ages 6 to 18 with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and identity development, relationship issues, life transitions and PTSD.  She is especially interested in LGBTQ issues.

Danica holds a Masters degree in Professional Counseling (Clinical Mental Health) from the CACREP accredited program at Viterbo University.  She has experience working with children with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.  In addition she has experience supporting adults in all areas of mental health.

Debra brings over 9 years of business experience.  She has specialty training in the area of intensive trauma therapy.  One of the certified techniques she uses is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).  In addition she has extensive background in:

 • Diagnose, identify, and plan mental health treatment for people with mental 

health concerns 

• Provide counseling in most appropriate modality to mitigate concerns, broaden 

skills, and incorporate tools to enhance mental health 

• Educate clients on alternative thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that augment mental health and well-being

Brittany strives to create a safe and collaborative counseling environment for her clients to grow in their strengths and heal from the barriers they are experiencing. She utilizes play therapy, family therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) interventions in her practice. She has experience working in schools and community support services with children and families.

Steve brings over 20 years of business experience to The Caring Tree, LLC.  He has started, owned and managed several companies and served on numerous corporate and educational advisory boards.  Primarily tasked with business development and operational guidance and oversight, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clinic.  He studied English Literature at UW-Madison and continually seeks more knowledge through various professional schools and educational experiences.  He can be reached at (608) 501-1428 or steve@caringtree.us.
